A live global audience watched South Africa’s Michelle Weber win the inaugural World Junior Open Water Swimming Championship boy’s 7.5km in Welland, Ontario, Canada.

Nearly 500 people from 36 countries watched the live streaming service online here. The number of spectators are expected to increase over the 3-day championships hosted by Swimming Canada.

• 800-meter swim (½ loop of the Olympic 10 km Marathon Swim course)
