10 Open Water Swimming Mistakes

1. Sight too much.
2. Sight too little.
3. Get Vaseline on your googles.
4. Start at the front if you are not going to run/swim fast.
5. Go the wrong way around a turn buoy.
6. Keep tapping on the feet of the swimmer in front of you.
7. Wait to go to the bathroom until minutes before the start.
8. Start in the wrong heat.
9. Ignore race instructions.
10. Dive into or jump over the breaking waves at the start.
