10 Problems Open Water Swimmers Understand

1. Too much sand gets brushed off in the car (or home).
2. They can’t see because of foggy goggle lenses.
3. They have Vaseline or lanolin on their hands and no towel to wipe it off.
4. The tides is going on.
5. The turn buoy is really far away.
6. They are breathing in escort boat diesel exhaust.
7. They cannot read the numbers or words on the whiteboard.
8. They keep on eating after a long training session.
9. They gotta go number 2.
10. Their swim cap keeps ever so slightly slipping off.
