1.2 Miles Long, 1.2 Miles High, The Tahoe Rough Water Swim
The Tahoe Rough Water Swim is a new lake swim organized by Jamie Patrick and Paul Lundgren with a number of special twists.The event is 1.2 miles long and 1.2 miles high, up in the beautiful lake of Lake Tahoe between California and Nevada. The race will be held on September 14th, one week before the Ironman Lake Tahoe Triathlon. The 1.2-mile swim follows the same swim course as the inaugural Ironman Lake Tahoe and is a plastic-free event that follows the event management principles of the Plastic Disclose Project.
Starting at Kings Beach in North Lake Tahoe on the California side of the lake, the Tahoe Rough Water will be a four-point, rectangle out-and-back course where each wave will start 4 minutes apart. The course will be marked every 200 meters along with large turn buoys.
