2013 FINA World Swimming Championships Introduction
Come July this year in Barcelona, Erika Villaecija of Spain will face a little bit of the pressure that Keri-Anne Payne faced at the London Olympic Games last year. The 3-time Spanish Olympic swimmer who finished eighth at the 2012 Olympics will be competing in her hometown of Barcelona at this year’s FINA World Swimming Championships.Villaecija, a fantastic pool and open water swimmer competitor, appears in the FINA promotional video below.
The 5K world championship will be held on July 20th. The 10K men’s championship will be on July 22nd. The 10K women’s championship will be on July 23rd. The 5 km Team Pursuit will be on July 25th and the 25 km championship will be held on July 27th.
