2016 Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series

Ian Feldman and the volunteers of Canaqua Sports organize several open water swimming competitions in Canada including the Canadian Masters Open Water Swimming Championships and the Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series in Ontario and British Columbia.

Canadian Masters Open Water Swimming Championships is a 2.5 km and 5 km open water swimming competition for adult swimmers held in the breakwater area of Ontario Place in Lake Ontario, Toronto, Ontario on September 10th.

The 2016 Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series includes the following events:

*Muskoka Epic Island Swim on June 12th at Camp Tawingo, outside of Huntsville in Muskoka.

*Muskoka SwimRun on June 12th at Camp Tawingo, outside of Huntsville in Muskoka: 19 km (Swim 500m + Run 2 km + Swim 500m + Run 4 km + Swim 1 km + Run 2 km + Swim 1 km + Run 5 km + Swim 500 m + Run 1.5 km).

*St Mary’s Quarry Swim on June 26yh in Lake Nepahwin, Ontario: 910m, 3.18 km, 5 km on a triangular course.

*33rd Ian McCloy Island Swim on July 17th in Lake Nepahwin at University Beach, Sudbury, Ontario: 500m, 1.6 km, 3.2 km, 100m (12 & under only). 1.6 km and 3.2 km courses are a circumnavigation swim around an island in the lake.

*Celebrate Lake Simcoe Swim on July 23rd at Innisfil Beach Park, Innisfil Ontario: 1 km, 3 km, 5 km in a equilateral triangle course.

*Lake Windermere Open Water Swim on August 7th in Lake Windermere in James Chabot Provincial Park, Invermere, British Columbia on a 2 km and 5 km out-and-back course.

*Toronto Island Lake Swim on August 28th at Centre Island Pier, Toronto Island on a 750m, 1.5 km, 3.8 km out-and-back course to Ward’s Island Beach.
