2016 Winter Swimming World Championships

The 10th Winter Swimming World Championships will be held in the Russian city of Tyumen in March 8th – 12th 2016.

The 10th Winter Swimming World Championships in the capital of Siberia is expected to attract 1,500 athletes from more than 40 countries including 900 foreign and 600 Russian swimmers.

Tatyana Pronkina said, “The aim of this project is to promote hardening and winter swimming in the world, as well as the formation of a new sports discipline within Russia. The organizers of the Championship are the International Winter Swimming Association, the Government of the Tyumen region, and Winter Swimming Federation of Tyumen region.”
