Courtesy of Rondi Davies, Hudson River, New York. Four of the 53 participants in the upcoming 8 Bridges Hudson River Swim in New York will attempted to complete all eights stages of the world’s longest competitive open water swim.
40-year-old American Abby Fairman, 59-year-old Brazilian Harry Finger, 58-year-old American Edward Riley, 51-year-old Brazilian Flávio Toi, and 64-year-old American Jamie Tout will be the quartet who will need to reach deep down in their reservoir of stamina and mental strength.
The 8 Bridges Hudson River Swim is an 8-day, 7-stage marathon swimming stage swim down the Hudson River that covers 120 miles (193 km) and was co-founded by David Barra and Rondi Davies. The event begins at the Rip Van Winkle Bridge near Catskill, New York and ends at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in New York City.
55-year-old Ali Hall and 57-year-old Spencer Schneider will both attempt 3 separate stages during the event.
