Lesley Burton Zehr has had to postpone her Lake Huron crossing for nearly a year. The goal of her charity swim in the Great Lakes is to raise awareness about drowning prevention and water safety, but poor weather and unfavorable forecasts caused her to postpone her planned 75 km swim across Lake Huron in 2013.

With a planned 40 hours to go from start to finish, she is preparing her last steps before she begins today.
