5th IISA World Championship Details Announced

Ram Barkai and the International Ice Swimming Association announced the IISA 5th World Championship will be held between January 12th – 15th 2023 in Samoëns in the French Alps today in a Zoom meeting.

The sport has come a long way since the IISA was founded and the term Ice Swimming was first coined in 2009. Ice Swimming is swimming in water temperature of 5°C (41°F) unassisted with no wetsuits.

Catherine Plewinski is the IISA 5th World Championship event director. Dr. Alexandre Fuzeau is the Chair of IISA France. Entries will be open on October 1st 2022. For more information, visit internationaliceswimming.com.
