A Blue Blood In The Ocean Depths

If there is one creature that we would hate to run into, it is the vampire squid.

The scary-looking species has blue blood, big eyes, and filaments that flap wide open to enable them to swim.

Fortunately, the unique squid occupy the oceans at depths between 600 and 900 meters. Living so deep in the oceans, open water swimmers are safe from the vampire squid.
