About Swimming Readers’ Choice Awards
Mat Luebbers of About.com Swimming Guide is conducting the 2011 About Swimming Readers’ Choice Awards. Mat explains, “Voting is open until March 8th for the 2011 About Swimming Readers’ Choice Awards for swimming blog and/or swimming twitter feed. There’s no prize – just the bragging rights that come with getting recognized by the readers of one of the biggest networks on the web. The winners will be announced on March 15th.”
The five finalists, chosen from among thousands of entries, include:
1. Feel for the Water by Swim Smooth
2. GoSwim by Glenn Mills
3. Louis Tharp on Total Immersion
4. Rob Aquatics by Rob Dumouchel
5. Swimmer Joe
After nearly two weeks of voting online, Swimmer Joe is currently running away with the vote – far ahead of second-place Rob Aquatics, but The Daily News of Open Water Swimming is very pleased to see that four of the five finalists (Feel for the Water, GoSwim, Louis Tharp and Rob Aquatics) have strong ties to the open water swimming community.
With 80% of the finalists with at least one foot in the open water, the world’s top English-language swimming blogs and twitter feeds are helping promote and celebrate the fastest growing discipline in the aquatic universe.
