Adam Sioui Pens Helpless At Sea
Adam Sioui (shown on left) is a Canadian Olympian who swam the 100 and 200 butterfly and 4×200 freestyle relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with a top finish of fifth. He is a two-time NCAA Champion and 19-time All American at the University of Florida. Sioui also won three bronze medals at the 2007 Pan American Games.He currently is a feature writer for SwimNews and an aquatic director at a YMCA who recently wrote Helpless At Sea: Has FINA Changed Since Fran’s Death? for SwimNews here.

He is Chief Executive Officer of KAATSU Global and KAATSU Research Institute. Hummer Award (2007, 2010) and Harvard University's John B. Imrie Award (1984). Served on the FINA Technical Open Water Swimming Committee and as Technical Delegate with the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games, and 9-time USA Swimming coaching staff.
