Adam Skolnick’s Dives Into The Open Water With His Words

Through the descriptive power of his written words, Adam Skolnick has delved passionately into the open water community, chronicling the exploits of The Deep Enders, a group of marathon swimmers in California, to the passing of Nicholas Mevoli, a champion freediver from New York and subject of ONE BREATH: Freediving, Death and the Quest to Shatter Human Limits.
On behalf of the New York Times, Skolnick is currently following Kimberley Chambers, a member of Night Train Swimmers, on her 93-mile (149.6 km) solo swimming attempt down the Sacramento River in northern California beginning tomorrow [see here].
Skolnick’s poetry of the pen will bring about the drama and the slowly building excitement of Chambers’ estimated 45+ hour solo charity swim.
