
Albert Stienezen Becomes An Iron Iceman
With three full Ironman Triathlons under his bike helmet (in 1998, 1999, and 2009), 56-year-old Albert Stienezen of Zevenaar in the Netherlands was ready to take on a new challenge.
He completed two Ice Kilometer swims in 2019 and 2020 – and was ready to tackle the Ice Mile this month.
On January 14th in Nevelhorst, Didam, Gelderland in his native Netherlands in 4.43°C, he took 34 minutes 14 seconds to achieve his Ice Mile – and become an Iron Iceman.
