Alex Kostich Enjoys The Opportunity To Swim Around Charleston

Sponsored by KAATSU Global, Huntington Beach, California.

Alex Kostich talked about his training – both on dryland and in the open water, domestically and internationally – in this unexpected year of lockdowns, mandates and ordinances that impact nearly every aspect of our lives on today’s edition of WOWSA Live soon after winning the 19.3 km Swim Around Charleston in South Carolina.

Race director Kathleen Wilson marshalled 40 solo swimmers and 9 relays in today’s race along the shores of one of America’s most beautiful and oldest cities. She explained, “It has been such a challenging year for everyone and it was important to give it everything to make the swim take place this year. It is heartening to see swimmers, many with limited training, choosing to come and support the swim and support the Charleston community.”

Kostich won the race in 4 hours 13 minutes 43 seconds.
