Ana Carolina Morelli is a Brazilian sprint specialist in the 50m and 100m freestyle. She is a Pan American Games and South American Games masters swimming champion, and a Top 10 FINA masters swimmer in both 2016 and 2019.

While she has spent her career racing in 50m pools, she transitioned to marathon swimming and debuted at the 37 km BISA (Big Island Swimming Association) on July 3rd. In Ilha Grande in Rio de Janeiro under good weather conditions, she set a course record of 12 hours 0 minutes 32 second.

Event Renato Ribeiro says, “The water temperature was around 22°C, a little colder than usual for the region. Ana Carolina really shone brightly, strongly arriving at the finish while beating the existing race record. Her coach Samir Barel‘s strategy made a big difference. Congratulations to Ana and her team for this incredible achievement.”
