Ana Marcela Cunha Triumphs In Traversée

Ana Marcela Cunha Triumphs In Traversée

Ana Marcela Cunha is arguably the most versatile elite open water swimmer in the world.

From winning local ocean swims in Brazil to being one of the most successful 5km and 10km swimmers in any conditions and any venue, she also is the reigning 25km world champion (done in 32°C water) in China and just won the cold-water 32km Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean in Canada.

Ana Marcela won comfortably over Pilar Geijo only a few days after placing third in the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup, also held in lac St-Jean.
