Olympian Andrew Gemmell pulled out another impressive 10 km marathon swim win in Hawaii at the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships at Ulua Beach on Maui.

Like his most recent victory at the USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships in Southern California in June, Gemmell pulled away from the field down the stretch to comfortably and impressively win over a quality field by over a minute.

The former University of Georgia distance freestyler and individual medley specialist finished in 1:51:11 to Australia’s Jarrod Poort in second in 1:52.12 and New Zealand’s Kane Radford in third in 1:52.13 [shown above].

Among the Juniors who also raced along the same course, American Brendan Casey pulled out a close victory over Jon McKay of Canada.
