Axel Reymond Records Victory At Ohrid Marathon

Frenchman Axel Reymond not only convincingly won today’s 30 km Ohrid Lake Swimming Marathon in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on August 24th, but he also set the race record in 5 hours 9 minutes.

The French marathoner – part of the younger generation of up-and-coming French open water swimmers – was pushed for much of the race by Italy’s Eduardo Stochino, but he had enough left in the tank to win by over 1 minutes in a blazing fast time.
