Beach Survival Challenge In The Great Lakes

The Great Lakes Beach and Pier Safety Task Force was established to corral resources to help reduce the number of deaths that occur on the shores of the Great Lakes (Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario which form the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth.

As the Task Force explains about its initiative in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Ohio, “We can’t afford to wait any longer. We must educate people – young and old, about the dangers of rip currents and high waves.”

A video produced by the Task Force is here. Its Beach Survival Challenge is on June 18th.
