Becca Mann Describes The Maui Nui On WOWSA Live
British channel swimming icon and journalist Kevin Murphy has proven himself in the media and in the world’s waterways as a marathon swimmer over the last several decades.
A young 22-year-old from the University of Southern California, Becca Mann is displaying similar talents with a published fiction book, Hollywood screenplays and teleplays, and an accomplished international swimming career both in the pool and open water that includes world Top 10 rankings in the 400m IM, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, 1500m freestyle, 5 km, 10 km and 25 km events between 2013 and 2017 – and one very long Maui Nui Swim in Hawaii in August 2019.
Mann pioneered the first Maui Nui Swim, 57.78 tough kilometers between the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai with the escort of Captain Michael Twigg-Smith, paddlers Steve Haumschild, and Shelley Oates-Wilding, Relief Captain Mike Scott, and mother-feeder Beth Mann, and help of the Kaiwi Channel Association.
Her Maui Nui Swim included 3 consecutive crossings of the following channels:

Channel #2: 26.50 km Kalohi Channel (Molokai -> Lanai) 5:09 pm start, 3:20:15 am finish on August 19th
