Being A Homer With Odyssey

The Odyssey Open Water Swimming Group is organizing a swim off against the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge on August 6th: the 1.5-mile Odyssey Bay Bridge Swim.

The Odyssey Bay Bridge Swim goes along the western span of the Bay Bridge. The swim starts near Yerba Buena Island and heads west, finishing in San Francisco. While local swimmers appreciate the challenge of the event and consists of a majority of the entrants, relatively strong swimmers are also encouraged to register.

This swim costs US $145 if you register before July 6th. There is a US$50 late registration fee within one month of the swim.

Odyssey Open Water Swimming is an open water swimming organization that offers weekly swims in San Francisco Bay, California and open water swimming competitions including the Crown Beach Swim Race in Alameda that is part of the Open Water World Tour.
