I have been working on this project, The Longest Swim, for few years and it has been a challenge to find the right partners and support, but I am not giving up,” explains Benoît Lecomte who has been planning a stage swim of 5,500 miles (8,851 km) across the Pacific Ocean from Tokyo, Japan to San Francisco, California.

Lecomte will attempt a daily ocean swim of 8 hours for 180 straight days across the Pacific. It will be a solo swim like no other, especially since he has been working on this swim for years.
