Bente Weber Memorial Swim Hits Ten Across The Narrows

Swimming in the Narrows between the two islands of the smallest nation in the Americas in both area and population is a great inter-island challenge for intermediate and advanced swimmers alike.
While the swim usually goes from Nevis to St. Kitts, this year the crossing will start on Cockle Beach on St. Kitts and finish on Oualie Beach on Nevis. Additionally, the 10th annual Bente Weber Memorial Swimm will be serve as the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) open water swimming championships to the mix.
Winston Crook, President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Triathlon, said, “This year we are enhancing the cross channel swim and making it bigger and better with the 1-kilometer (‘Short Course’) and 4-kilometer (‘Long Course’) OECS open water championship races. It gives the opportunity for people who may not come for the annual swim who are seeking an OECS championship to come and be a part of the swim taking place in Nevis.”
