
Blossoming Like A Rose In The RCP Tiburon Mile

She represented the U.S.A. at the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games 1.5 km sea swim in Athens, Greece, her native state of Virginia at the Butterfield 800m Sea Swim in the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean Sea, and the Special Olympics of Virginia at yesterday’s RCP Tiburon Mile in San Francisco Bay. “It was great, I had a good time,” says Pleskow.
The personable 23-year-old ambassador of the sport, shown with her mother above, literally never stopped smiling before or after the 1 nautical mile swim in the cool, tidal-driven waters in San Francisco Bay. Pleskow was joined by Virginia teammates Luke Ferris and Jennifer Mitchell at the RCP Tiburon Mile.
