Bruckner Chase will represent the open water swimming community at the 5th annual BlueMind Summit at the Carnegie Institute for Science in Washington D.C. today. His presentation will start at 1 pm Washington D.C. local time.

I will share what we do to connect communities with our oceans including our programs for underserved youth and those with spinal injuries who can enjoy the open water,” explains Chase. “I will also touch upon how endurance athletes can look to become more at home in or on the ocean. My message is making action for our communities and our oceans to be the critical goal that must follow awareness and the emotional connections we are creating to our waters.”

BlueMind Summit founder Wallace J. Nichols will be tweeting, #bluemindlive streaming, posting, instagraming, and periscoping throughout the day so interested individuals can participate virtually and follow the conversation. “Use #bluemind across social media platforms to add your thoughts and questions,” implores Nichols.
