Breast From Beaver
Jason Lassen will attempt to be the first person to solo marathon swim from Beaver Island in Lake Michigan to the shoreline in Good Hart, Michigan.Similar to his record-setting breaststroke swim across the Catalina Channel in 2010 that was done without the benefit of GPS technology, the 39-year-old Lassen plans to complete the entire 18-mile swim breaststroke from the island known as America’s Emerald Island.

Southern California native, born 1962, is the creator of the WOWSA Awards, Oceans Seven, Openwaterpedia, Citrus Corps, World Open Water Swimming Association, Daily News of Open Water Swimming, Global Open Water Swimming Conference. Served on the FINA Technical Open Water Swimming Committee and as Technical Delegate with the 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games, and 9-time USA Swimming coaching staff.
