
Breaststroke The Hard Way

It was carried over ice-cold rivers and mountains on its way to Sochi with the help of famed Russian ice swimmers Alexander Brylin and Sergey Popov. They both served as the Russian representatives on the Bering Strait Swim. Brylin and Popov led the flag-carrying ceremony in 2ºC (35.6ºF) water with fragments of ice floating about in the Amur River.
