Bruckner Chase Ocean Positive Receives Support From Christopher & Dana Reeves Foundation
Bruckner Chase has been managing his non-profit organization for years, quietly and professionally with his wife Dr. Michelle Evans-Chase. Bruckner Chase Ocean Positive was recently awarded US$25,000 from the Christopher & Dana Reeves Foundation to expand the breadth and athlete experiences that they offer through the Blue Journey Unified Team.
“We focus on positively impacting how we feel, think, and act towards our oceans and our communities through programs that protect us all,” Chase summarized. “Blue Journey’s Unified program seeks to provide opportunities for those with spinal cord injuries or disease to join us on the beach and in the ocean through the sports and activities we love.”
The Christopher & Dana Reeves Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by advancing innovative research and improving quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis.

Steven Munatones observed, “For a renowned world-class organization like the Reeves Foundation to financially support Bruckner’s Ocean Positive and Blue Journey programs is a wonderful acknowledgement how important and impactful enabling individuals with spinal cord injuries to be safely out on the water. That freedom and sense of accomplishment that comes from being able to paddle in the ocean is a testament to the vision of husband-and-wife duo Bruckner and Michelle.”
