By The Letter Of The Law, Anthony Zamora Is In The Triple Crown
Los Angeles attorney Anthony Zamora did it by the books. Following the letter of the law (i.e., channel rules), he started his quest to become a member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with a 9 hours 59 minute Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 2007.
Eight weeks after his second successful Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 2008 in 8 hours 23 minutes, he completed his second leg of the Triple Crown with an 11 hour 43 minute crossing of the Catalina Channel.
He completed his third and last leg of the Triple Crown with a 16:08 crossing of the English Channel when he was awarded The 2009 Belhedi Trophy for his English Channel swim on the highest tides.
He joins 46 other members of this esteemed crowd.
