Celebrate A New Day With The Henley Swim Classic

The Henley Swim Classic swimmers, volunteers and staff start preparing before the crack of dawn. But this year, there is something different to look towards.

The Henley Swim Classic starts at sunrise, but swimmers will enter relay teams of four to take part in team pursuits for close-quarter racing on September 18th at Queenford Lakes.

Event organiser Tom Kean explains, “This is a new race format which we has been designed around swimming and triathlon club members. It will provide the perfect environment to practice the fiendishly difficult open water skill of drafting in the team pursuit event, and give clubs the chance to pit themselves against other clubs in the relays. It should be a fascinating morning of swimming. Each winning category team member will also earn an entry place to the massively over-subscribed Henley Swim Classic in June 2012.”
