Lewis Pugh will speak at the World Conference on Sport and the Environment in Sochi, Russia on November 1st.
The International Olympic Committee is organizing the Conference in partnership with the United Nations. The Conference is supported by the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Russian Olympic Committee, and Sochi 2014 Organisation under the theme, Changing Today for a Better Tomorrow.
The World Conference on Sport and the Environment, in advance of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014, offers a platform for the IOC and the sporting community to raise awareness among governments and the public at large about the relevance of sport to address the sustainability agenda and renew the commitment of the sports movement to this global issue of concern.
