Stéphane Lecat, Directeur de l’Eau Libre of the French Swimming Association, reported on the 25 km French National Open Water Swimming Championships in Sète, France. “Charlyne Secrestat won in a close race over Célia Barrot. It was a surprise because she is young (16) and it was her first 25 km marathon swim. Last year, Charlie won the bronze medal at the European Junior Championships.

A lot of swimmers did not finish the race because the water was a little bit cold, between 18 and 22ºC without any sun, but Axel Reymond swam a great race and was very fast. Things are looking good for him at the European Championships.”
