Without a doubt, Brazilian Olympian Allan Do Carmo, American Olympian Jordan Wilivmovsky and British Jack Burnell will be in the lead pack at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games marathon swim next summer.

It is even quite within the realm of possibility that the trio will be fighting at the end for a spot on the podium.

But you never quite know what will happen at the end of the race.

Which is what happened today in Hong Kong where Christian Reichert defended his 2014 title at the FINA/HOSA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup race in Hong Kong with a tight victory over rival Do Carmo.
