David Fitzgerald is an Irish swimmer and former national water polo coach. He was the escort pilot for his son Gary Fitzgerald who first swam the ‘ Kish ‘, a 12 km traverse from the Kish Lighthouse in Dublin Bay to the Forty Foot in Dun Laoghaire in Ireland on 27 September 2013.
