David Miner is an American pool and open water swimmer and coach from Florida.
He is the race director of the Daiquiri Deck Tropical Splash Open Water Swim, the 7 km Swim Around Lido Key, and the 10 km Swim Fort De Soto in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Miner is a U.S. Masters Swimming member and a Masters Level 1, 2, and 3 certified coach, ASCA member and Masters coach, NAUI Certified Dive Master, and Adult CPR/AED certified. He is a coach for the Sarasota Y Shark Masters Swim Team, sits on the USMS National Open Water Committee and is the Florida LMSC Open Water Chairperson.
He has completed multiple 12.5 mile Swim Around Key West, multiple 10 km marathon swims, Maui Channel Swim relay, many 5 km and 2.4 mile swims.
Miner also started a company called Swim Without Limits that hosts open water swimming clinics and races.
The Daiquiri Deck Tropical Splash Open Water Swim is an annual open water swimming competition hosted by the Sarasota YMCA Sharks Masters in October at the Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida. It is a sanctioned U.S. Masters Swimming and USA Swimming event of 1 km, 2.5 km and 5 km.
The Swim Around Lido Key is a 7-mile, pilot escorted swim around the island of Lido Key in Sarasota, Florida.
