Dean Hawks is the race director and race marshall for the Indy Open Water Challenge , a 1- and 2-mile open water swimming competition in Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Indiana hosted by the Indy Aquatic Masters. He is a pool and open water swimming coach with the Indy Aquatic Masters and has taught first aid, water safety, lifeguard certification, kayaking, water polo, spring board diving, scuba, water games and a plethora of water activities.
