Dmitry Blokhin is the 202 cm tall Vice Chairperson for the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports at the City Administration of Murmansk in Russia. Under his administration, the International Winter Swimming Competition (or the International Holiday of the North or the Polar Olympics ) are held annually in Murmansk , Russia as well as the Murmansk Mile as part of the open water swim across Kola Bay in Murmansk . He also helps organize the first World Ice Swimming Championships (or the International Ice Swimming Association World Championship ) on 20 March 2015 and the Russian Open Winter Swimming Championship on 21-22 March 2015 together with Irina Andreeva .
