Doug Fonder is an American swimming coach with the Virginia Gators. Coach Fonder is an ASCA Level 5 coach who is a USA Swimming International Trip List Coach and the National YMCA Coach of the Year. He has coached Olympians, numerous Olympic Trial Qualifiers, world-ranked swimmers, USA Swimming national championship finalists, Olympic Sports Festival winners, Junior National and YMCA National Champions and countless nationally ranked age group competitive swimmers .
