Elizabeth Kooy is from Hastings, Nebraska where she was a high school swimmer. She became a Masters swimmer and lover of all things distance. She loves open water swimming and long distance pool racing. She has won several of the USMS National Postal Championship series. Kooy coached the Chicago Smelts Masters team for 10 years before she moved to Dallas in 2011. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and works in the field of juvenile justice. She started coaching for DAM in 2012.
