Jennifer Hurley is an open water swimmer who has done the Triple Crown of Prison Island Swims , otherwise known as Triple Break for her swims from Alcatraz Island , Rottnest Island and Spike Island . She also completed the first circumnavigation around Halls Head Island in Western Australia, an English Channel solo crossing, three solo Rottnest Channel Swims , the Irish Sandycove Island swim, a record double English Channel relay swim with a team of five and many other marathon swims . Her unprecedented 30 km swim around Halls Head Island was assisted by her husband Mick Hurley, observer Wayne Cable, Clive Choate , Barbara Pellick and pilot Des McLean .
