Jeremy Porter Linn (born 6 January 1975) is an American former competitive swimmer , Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder. Linn set an American record in the 100-meter breaststroke while winning the silver medal in that event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He also provides swim clinics at the Alligator Reef Lighthouse Swim in Islamorada , Florida together with Jon Olsen and conducted a swimming proposal to Nicole Johnson at the halfway point of the 2014 8-mile Swim for Alligator Lighthouse . His nickname is The Goat .
