Lior Birkhahn is­ 51 years old and mother to Uri (11.5), Amitai (9.5) and Gili (7). An occupational therapist at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and a masters swimming instructor, she was the Israeli champion in several categories between the years 1978 and 1984. She took second place in the 2013 European Championship in 100m butterfly and 200m butterfly , and a member of the Six Swimming For Peace distance relay that will swim between Port Said in Egypt and Tel Aviv, Israel.
