Maura Marden was an American swimming coach for the Swim Fitters at the Westport Weston YMCA in Connecticut. On her last ocean swim before she passed away from cancer, Marden swam with her three boys — David, 23; Danny, 21; and Bart, 19 — all NCAA Division I swimmers at the University of the Pacific in California and graduates of Fairfield Prep, along with family friend Andy Davis and her oncologist, Dr. Neil Fischbach. The team called Team Pride II, raised more than US$20,000.
