Maury McKinney is an American endurance athlete, open water swimmer, and swimming coach. He is a native of Orlando, Florida and a graduate of Auburn University, he worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club in construction and worked as a professional climbing guide and part-owner of the International Mountain Climbing School, Inc. in North Conway, New Hampshire. He is a volunteer member, team leader and former board member of the Mountain Rescue Service. He has experience serving as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary on the boards of the American Mountain Guides Association, New Hampshire Outdoor Council and Mount Washington Valley Soccer Club.
