Richard is a highly qualified and experienced aquatic professional having coached at regional level Northern Ireland. He has completed over several years all of the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association swims from 500m to 17km and has also been an official North Channel Observer having ratified several solo and relay crossings from Scotland to N.Ireland.

Richard has also worked as a Swim Guide for SwimTrek in Greece, The British Lake District, and the river Thames.
