Dr Thomas Doyle Cert. Science, BSc, PhD is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Coastal and Marine Research Centre at the University College Cork in Ireland. He was the Coastal & Marine Resources Centre 2011 winner of the Postdoctoral Researcher of the Year. He presented at the 2013 Global Open Water Swimming Conference held in Cork on 11-13 October. He coined the term Lion’s Mane syndrome as part of his research into jellyfish stings.
