Cold, Wet And Rough … Fun Times In Hong Kong
The Cold Half and Cold Standard races in Hong Kong, organized by Open Water Asia, includes a 14 km extreme marathon swim from Stanley to Repulse Bay by 50 solo and relay swimmers on February 15th. The Cold Standard involves swimming the Cold Half solo (timing at the 10 km mark) and then running a full marathon the next day at the Standard Chartered Marathon. Five people did the Cold Standard as part of the Sub 3 Squared Challenge.
Open Water Asia offers a number of marine sports events and competitions including the Southern Beach Games, International Hong Kong Beach Water Polo Tournament, Cold Half, Sheko Challenge, Clean Half, The Five, The Community Chest – Wheelock Swim for a Million, The Drop, and the Cheung Sha Callenge – the broken kilometer.
