
Colleen Blair Is Scotland’s First Triple Crowner

Over 16 years in the making, Colleen Isla Blair became the first Scottish swimmer to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
She started in the English Channel in 1998 when she crossed in 13 hours 55 minutes and won the Channel Swimming Association’s 1998 Award for its Youngest Successful Swimmer.
As a 23-year-old, she followed up with a circumnavigation around Manhattan Island in 8 hours 51 minutes and then completed her Triple Crown journey on October 2nd 2014 with an 11 hour 40 minutes crossing of the Catalina Channel.
